Woman Ordered To Not Own Animals Violates Probation

A Florida woman who was on probation for drowning a puppy in a Nebraska airport has violated her probation by having a dog in her possession.

On Tuesday, at a hearing in Hall County District Court, Cynthia Anderson admitted to possessing a dog.

Anderson was accused of drowning a Doberman puppy in the Grand Island Airport in 2015 after officials would not let her fly with it because the puppy was too young and not properly contained. Anderson was then seen entering a bathroom with the puppy. Shortly after, a woman reported finding the puppy dead in a toilet. Anderson pleaded No Contest to the charge of Cruel Neglect after the incident.

Law enforcement in Edgewater, Florida say that Anderson had a dog with her when she was arrested in October on a theft allegation. Part of Anderson's two year probation sentence from Nebraska in July 2015 stated that she was not to possess any animals for five years.
