Council Bluffs Police say an 18-year-old man has been arrested for third-degree sexual abuse after an incident Tuesday night.
Officers responded to a disturbance call near 9th Street and Avenue I around 6:40 p.m. An officer made contact with Zachary Cox, who police say admitted to having sex with a 13 year old girl.
Cox was taken to the Criminal Investigations office for an interview with a detective. He was then arrested on one count of sexual abuse in the third degree and taken to the Pottawattamie County Corrections.
The 13-year-old was located and identified and is safe with family members.
