Memorial Day Ceremonies

There are a number of Memorial Day ceremonies around the metro area on Monday. Here is the list:

Omaha National Cemetary at 142nd and Schram Road-11:15 a.m.

Omaha's Memorial Park.  11 am.  Inlcudes wreath-laying ceremony

Prospect Hill Cemetary at 32nd and Parker- 11 a.m.  Service includes Civil War re-enactors and 21 musket salute

Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery just north of 78th and Center 9:30 a.m. 

Calvary Cemetery 78th and West Center Road- 10 a.m. Mass with Archbishop George Lucas.

Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 49th Leavenworth St.  10 a.m. 

Forest Lawn Cemetery at 7909 Mormon Bridge Road 10 a.m. Congressman Don Bacon will speak. 

St. Vincent de Paul 143rd Eagle Run Drive 8:45 a.m. Includes lighting of candles to honor each branch of military service. 

Holy Angels Mausoleum at Resurrection Cemetery 78th West Center Road. 10 a.m. Mass with former Archbishop Elden Curtiss.

Mount Auburn Cemetery at 185th and Q at 10:30 a.m.

St. Mary Cemetery 35th and Q at 10 a.m. 

St. Mary Magdalene Cemetery 46th and Q at 10 a.m. 

Bellevue Cemetery near 13th Ave and Hancock Street. at 11 a.m. Includes presentation of individual service flags and the laying of five wreaths.

Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home near 40th and Capehart in Bellevue at 2 p.m. Performance by USAF Heartland of America Brass ensemble.

Gretna American Legion Post 216 ceremony in Peterson Park in Gretna at 10 a.m. Includes Avenue of Flags with more than 200 flags representing deceased veterans from Gretna

Cedar Dale Cemetery at 84th Street and Cedar Dale Road in Papillion 10 a.m. 

Veterans Park near Halleck and Monroe Streets in Papillion at 6 p.m. 

Springfield Cemetery on Highway 50 near Fairview Road at 10 a.m.
