The man who was found guilty of stealing from the family of Sam Foltz was sentenced to 3-5 years in jail on Monday.
Scott Davis stole from the family of the late Husker punter while his family was in Lincoln being honored at a football game.
Davis was sentenced to 3-5 years for burglary and 2 years for theft. The sentences will be served concurrently.
Davis was also ordered to pay restitution of $500 to the Foltz family. In addition, Davis was sentenced to one year and $2,000 in restitution for stealing from Hooker Brothers Construction.
Investigators say Davis broke into the home of Sam's brother Jordan Foltz the day the family was in Lincoln last fall being honored.
Davis pleaded guilty to burglary and theft in late February.
