A woman is recovering after being shot during a family gathering just after 10:00 Sunday night near 25th and Emmet.
Omaha Police say 50 year old Vickie Mountain was at a birthday party at the home when she was struck by gunfire that came from an unknown location.
She was taken to CHI Creighton University Medical Center and treated for a gunshot wound to the leg. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to contact Omaha Crime Stoppers at 444-STOP. Tips leading to a shooting arrest are eligible for a $10,000 reward.
