Two Elementary School Students Busted For Marijuana

An Omaha Police officer tweeted that he had a first for him as a cop on Wednesday morning.

Officer Jacob Bettin's tweet stated that officers were called out to an elementary school, which was later identified as Masters Elementary School near 99th and Fort, for two eleven year old students in possession of marijuana.

The students were released back to their families and any disciplinary action will be taken by the school according to a statement from OPS. "At approximately 9:30 a.m. today, building administration received a report of two students who allegedly had illegal substances in their possession at school. Administration immediately investigated the report and contacted local law enforcement and the students’ parents. We are working with the families involved and will take any necessary, appropriate disciplinary action."
