A motorcyclist is recovering after rear-ending a pick up. Police and rescue crews were called to 60th between I-80 and F Street just before 5 p.m. Friday. Investigators say a 2010 Dodge Ram was southbound on 60th Street and hit from behind by a Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, 55 year old Patrick Rawson of Omaha was taken to a hospital with serious injuries that included several cuts and a shoulder injury. The pickup driver, 49 year old Catherine Schram from Murray, Nebraska was not hurt.
Police say the motorcyclist was believed to be under the influence of alcohol at the time and was not wearing a helmet.
The accident remains under investigation.
