Stothert Maintains Lead In Mayoral Race

The Douglas County Election Commission released their third round of results in Omaha's General Election.

In the race for mayor, incumbent Jean Stothert is leading with 40,013 votes, or 55%.  Challenger Heath Mello follows with 32,487 votes, or 44%.  

In the City Council race, District 1 incumbent Pete Festersen is leading with 8,664 votes, 83% over challenger Grant Sturek with 1,549 votes, 14% . 

In District 2, incumbent Ben Gray is leading with 3,310 votes, 63% over opponent Dennis J. Womack with 1,830 votes, 35% .

In District 3, incumbent Chris Jerram is leading with 6,938 votes, 80% over opponent D'Shawn Cunningham with 1,592 votes, 18% .

In District 4, Vinny Palermo is in the lead with 3.575 votes, or 53% over challenger Jim Rogers with 3.016 votes, 45% .  Both are newcomers in the race for District 4.

In District 5, Rich Pahls is running unopposed with 9,235 votes, 95% . 

In District 6, Brinker Harding is leading with 9,064 votes, 63% over challenger Dwite Pedersen with 5.083 votes, 35% .  Both are newcomers in District 6.

In District 7, incumbent Aimee Melton is leading with  7,945 votes, 65% over challenger Brian Thommes with 4,232 votes, 34% .
