Douglas County Election Commisioner Brian Kruse is hoping the good weather will help boost the number of voters who will go to the polls today to decide the future of the City of Omaha.
Brian Kruse previously predicted a 31 percent turnout on Tuesday. "We'd be very happy if we received over that 31 percent," Kruse says. "It's a beautiful day. There's no reason for voters not to get out today."
On KFAB's morning news Kruse said there were about 4-thousand voters who requested an early ballot that had not returned them to his office yet. The deadline is 8:00 p.m.
Kruse says voters who have questions or problems with their polling place or any other issue can call 444-VOTE. In addition to mayor, voters will decide the seven City Council seats.
NewsRadio 1110 KFAB will have live election results just after the polls close at 8:00.
