Man Tying Shoes Struck By Car

Omaha Police are looking for the driver of a vehicle that hit a 55 year old man near 16th and Locust early Monday morning and kept going.

Police say 55 year old Glenn Ranson told paramedics that he was crossing Locust Street around 1:00 a.m. when he stopped in the roadway to tie his shoes. That is when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. Paramedics transported Ranson to CUMC for treatment of serious, non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Ranson was intoxicated and has fractures to both legs.  Police say so far there are no witnesses to the incident.
