AAA's Tow To Go Available Over Cinco de Mayo

AAA Nebraska is again offering their Tow To Go program over the  Cinco de Mayo weekend.  They report that every day, 28 people in the U.S. die in alcohol related vehicle crashes.  Holidays can cause those numbers to rise.  AAA urges everyone to have a plan to get home safe if alcohol is involved and that includes a designated driver or calling a cab.

For those who didn't plan ahead, the Tow To Go is there to help.  Those in Nebraska and Iowa can get a confidential local ride to a safe location within 10 miles.  A AAA tow truck will take the vehicle and the driver home.  The service is free and available to AAA members and non-members.  The program may not be available in rural areas or during severe weather conditions.

Those needing a lift home should keep this number handy - 855-2-TOW-2-GO, or 855-286-9246.

Since 1998, Tow To Go has safely removed more than 24,000 impaired drivers from the roads across the Southeast and Midwest.  The program is available only in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Nebraska and Iowa.  It is designed to be a safety net for motorists who did not plan ahead.
