Two people from New York and California are behind bars in Douglas County after a traffic stop Thursday afternoon on I-80 at 96th Street. A Douglas County Sheriff's deputy stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation and became suspicious after smelling what was believed to be marijuana. At that time a police dog was called in to searched the vehicle and located drugs inside the vehicle’s trunk.
Authorities report more than 70 pounds of marijuana, a large amount of hash oil and several large bags of marijuana edible candy was found inside.
The suspects are identified as Emily Casper and Mitchell Moraczewski. Both face a number of drug related charges.
