Omaha Police say two people were injured after a wrong-way driver slammed into another vehicle just before midnight Thursday on 72nd Street near the I-80 off ramp.
Investigators say a pickup was northbound in the southbound lanes of 72nd St. As it crested the bridge, the pickup hit a Chevy Blazer nearly head on.
Police say the pickup driver, 27 year old Bryan Lett, was intoxicated and had to be cut from the wreckage. He suffered a broken leg. Charges are pending against him.
The driver of the Blazer was treated for chest pains.
