Bellevue Police Say Man Tried To Abduct Girl

Some frightening moments this morning for a 12 year old Bellevue girl.  Police say the girl told officers a man she does not know was knocking on her front door near 20th and Freeman Drive around 7:45 a.m.

The girl did not open the door and told police she noticed a black SUV parked nearby and watched it drive away.

Moments later, the girl began walking to school and the suspect drove up behind her and told her to get into his SUV.  The girl told him no and the suspect left the area.

The vehicle is described as a black suburban type SUV with dark tinted windows, silver hubcaps, and no rear license plate.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30's and tall with broad shoulders. He was seen wearing a worn out Carhart style jacket, worm blue jeans and brown work boots.

The police urge anyone with information about the incident to call Sarpy County Crime Stoppers at (402)-592-7867.
