The Douglas County Sheriff's Department has released the name of the driver killed in an early Monday morning crash.
Authorities say 57 year old Dollie Mott of Council Bluffs was driving a Toyota Prius when it was struck by a semi at the intersection of Blair High Road and State Street.
They say Mott was headed northbound when a southbound semi-truck, driven by 41 year old Christopher Olson of Blair, collided at the southwest corner of the intersection just after 7:00.
Witnesses told authorities that both drivers had a green light, and that Mott turned into the path of the truck.
The impact pushed Mott's Prius into a ditch and caused Olson to hit a power pole.
Mott was transported to the hospital in critical condition, where she later died from injuries. Olson suffered minor injuries.
