Daycare Provider Sought On Child Abuse Warrant Located

The Omaha Police Department has located and arrested a daycare provider wanted for child abuse.

Authorities say on Friday, 58 year old Lynn Rowe was located in Missouri Valley, Iowa and taken into custody by the Harrison County Sheriff.

Police were seeking Rowe after a warrant was issued for her arrest for child abuse.

Authorities say on April 3rd they received a complaint of child abuse at Lynn's Learning Center near 112th and Spring.

They say the parents of a four year old girl reported that the daycare owner, Rowe, had physically abused their daughter.

An employee sent the parents a video of the incident in question where police say Rowe can be seen hitting the girl in the head and arm.

On Wednesday detectives obtained a felony arrest warrant for Child Abuse for Rowe, but the Omaha Metro Fugitive Task Force was  unable to locate her.

Detectives are investigating if any other children in Rowe's care were abused or neglected at her daycare.

Police say that if anyone believes that their child was a victim of abuse at Lynn's Learning Center, or has more information about possible abuse at the facility, they should call the Special Victim's Unit at 444-5636.
