Charges are pending against the driver of a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse after an accident Friday evening near 69th and Seward Street. Witnesses told police the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and was drifting out of its lane. Just after 7:30 p.m. the southbound vehicle struck a tree in the yard of a home.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, 26 year old Nicholas Anderson of Omaha was transported to a hospital with serious injuries that include a broken arm and lacerations. Police say speed and alcohol are factors in this crash.
