Bicyclist Victim Of Hit & Run

Council Bluffs Police are trying to identify the bicyclist who was struck by a car that left the scene early Wednesday morning.                                                        

Police were called to 13th and 6th Avenue around 4 a.m and found a man lying on the curb next to a bicycle. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of serious head injuries. 

Investigators say it appears  the bicyclist was hit from behind by a southbound vehicle.  The victim is described as a black male, 25-30 years old with a thin build.  

He was riding a red, black and silver mountain bike and was carrying a Star Wars backpack.
