A sixteen year old who threw her newborn baby out of an apartment window learned her fate in court Friday.
Antonia Lopez, who was originally charged as an adult, will face probation and time in a group home.
Lopez was arrested in October 2016 after authorities determined that she had given birth to a premature baby girl and threw the infant out of her Kellom-Knolls apartment window.
Lopez told her mother what happened and the teen's grandmother went outside to find the child in the grass.
When paramedics arrived they found the grandmother administering CPR on the baby in the parking lot of the apartment complex.
Lopez's case was moved to juvenile court after prosecutors said they didn't believe her actions were premeditated.
Along with her probation and time at a group home, Lopez was also ordered to do community service, undergo therapy and delete her Facebook page.
