Four teens are facing charges after assaulting an officer during a disturbance Wednesday night.
Omaha Police say an officer was responding to a fight at the McDonald's on 30th and Ames Avenue just after 6:00.
They say as the officer arrived the teens involved in the disturbance were crossing Ames Avenue.
When the officer attempted to stop them and question them about the fight, they ignored his commands.
That is when police say the teens attacked the officer.
As a fifteen year old girl attempted to run, the other teens started punching the officer.
The fifteen year old was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction, then released. A fourteen year old boy was charged with Assault on an Officer and booked into the Youth Center. A seventeen year old female and sixteen year old male were both charged with Assault on an Officer.
The officer is recovering from minor injuries sustained during the altercation.
