If you want to show your love of Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo, you can now sport a zoo themed license plate on your car.
The plates are available for purchase now and feature an African bull elephant, similar to the ones found in the zoo's African Grasslands exhibit.
Zoo director Dennis Pate says they are delighted to be featured on the new plate. “The Omaha community has a big sense of pride in the Zoo, we are so excited that Nebraska drivers can show their support by ordering the license plate.”
Pate say he hopes that the plates will raise awareness for the zoo to help their conservation and education efforts.
The plates are available through the Nebraska DMV and cost $70 annually. Be aware that they can not be customized since they are classified as Organizational Plates.
