Maurice Watson Allowed To Return To Philadelphia

Former Creighton basketball player Maurice Watson is being allowed to return to Philadelphia for physical therapy.

His defense previously asked to let him travel back to Philadelphia to continue rehabilitating an ACL injury he sustained in January. A judge initially denied that request, ordering Watson to stay within ten miles of Douglas County.

On Wednesday Judge Retelsdorf agreed to let Watson return to Philadelphia, with conditions.

Watson must live with his parents, can only leave for approved medical treatments, he must appear at all pre-trial hearings and must call pre-trial release every day.

Watson is charged with sexual assault after a woman accused Watson of forcing her to have non-consensual sex with him in February, a claim Watson denies.

His next court appearance is scheduled for April 18th.
