Good news for travelers commuting between Omaha and Miami.
The Omaha Airport Authority announced Friday that American Airlines will begin daily nonstop flights between Omaha and The Magic City.
The new route is will start on Wednesday, July 5th.
The new schedule is:
- OMAHA TO MIAMI
- DEPART: 6:25 AM
- ARRIVE: 10:35 AM
- MIAMI TO OMAHA
- DEPART: 8:28 PM
- ARRIVE: 10:59 PM
The new route will join a growing list of daily nonstop flights offered by American including Los Angeles, Charlotte, Chicago, Phoenix and Dallas-Ft. Worth.
Manager of Airline Affairs Steve McCoy says, "The Omaha Airport Authority is delighted to see American airlines' continued investment in the Omaha market with this new nonstop service to Miami, Florida."
McCoy goes on to say, "The new flight will offer Omaha travelers opportunities not only to South Florida, but also throughout the American Airlines' extensive Caribbean and Latin American network."
The nonstop flights will be available for purchase starting Sunday, March 19th.
