Two of the newest residents of the Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium now have names. The Rockhopper penguins were hatched in December.
The two female penguins are named Myrtle and Ethel. Zoo Keepers chose the names from 4,344 submissions from zoo visitors.
Myrtle earned her name thanks to 7-year-old Clayton Sudduth of Omaha. Ethel's name was submitted by 63-year-old Jody Nordstrom of Omaha.
Clayton and Jody will receive a unique gift bag from the zoo. 31 Rockhoffer chicks have been hatched at the Omaha zoo since 1998.
