Vehicle Taken In Bluffs Carjacking Found In Omaha

Omaha Police say they have recovered a vehicle taken during a carjacking in Council Bluffs Tuesday afternoon.  

The search for the white Acura began around 11:00 a.m. Tuesday when the female driver said a man got into the passenger seat of her car.   At 35th and Nebraska Avenue the man told her to pull over and let him drive.  She got out and ran through an open field to try and escape. The man drove through the field and fired a shot at the victim.  She was not hurt.

Police found the car parked behind a house near 44th and Spaulding around 11:00. 

While investigating the stolen car, officers saw someone crawl out the window of a nearby home.  After searching the house, the found four people.  They were taken downtown for questioning.
