The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for Nemaha and Richardson counties in Nebraska. The watch is in effect until 10:00 Monday night.
A tornado watch has also been issued in Iowa for Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery, Monona, Shelby, Page and Pottawattamie counties. This watch is also in effect until 10:00 Monday night.
A Red Flag Warning was issued Monday morning in parts of Nebraska and Iowa for winds upwards of 50 miles per hour.
The Omaha Fire Department also issued a burn ban that is in effect until 7:00 Tuesday morning.
