The Omaha Public Schools Board has announced their three finalists for Superintendent.
One of the three final candidates will replace current superintendent Mark Evans when he retires in May.
The OPS Board has selected:
- Dr. Paul Gausman-Superintendent of Sioux City Public Schools
- Dr. Jane Stavem- Associate Superintendent for Instruction, Lincoln Public Schools
- Dr. Khalid Mumin-Superintendent of Reading Public Schools, Reading, Pennsylvania
OPS Board President Lacey Merica says the board has worked hard to select the finalists. "This is an integral juncture for OPS. We've come a long way in our search and have taken great strides to ensure that our next Superintendent exemplifies the qualities and attributes that will help prepare our students for college, career and beyond."
Meet and greet sessions will be held at the Teacher Administration Center March 6-8.
The community is welcome to come voice their questions or concerns with the finalists.
