Omaha Police have confirmed that Creighton basketball player Maurice Watson Jr. is being investigated in a sexual assault case.
According to a police report, officers were called to a hospital around 10:30 in the morning on February 4th. A 19 year old woman reported that a man had non-consensual sex with her in the bathroom of a home.
Omaha Police confirm that the man is Watson. On Wednesday, Creighton University announced that Watson had been suspended from university athletic functions for alleged "actions that are contrary to University policies and core values."
Watson is a senior and has been sidelined since tearing his ACL back in January. The university also barred him from taking part in Senior Day events at the final home game of the season on February 28th.
