Omaha Police say a driver traveling at a high rate of speed caused an accident near 138th and Millard Avenue Wednesday evening.
They say that a white van was attempting to turn when a speeding Ford Mustang hit the van head on just after 4:00.
Authorities say paramedics had to cut both drivers from the wreckage.
Police had to shut down eastbound traffic on Millard Avenue due to the accident.
The drivers involved were both taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Police say speed is a factor and that the driver of the Mustang was not wearing a seatbelt.
