An arrest has been made in the December 23rd shooting death of Michael Brinkman. 29 year old LeAndre Jennings was arrested today by Omaha Police Homicide detectives and officers with the Metro Area Fugitive Task Force.
He was booked on an arrest warrant for 1st degree murder, use of a weapon to commit a felony and possession of a weapon by a prohibited person. A second suspect in the case is still on the run and is considered armed and dangerous.
Brinkman was shot inside his home near 181st and Q Street. He was rushed to a hospital where he later died.
Anyone with information on the second suspect is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 402-444-STOP or the Omaha Police Homicide Unit at 402-444-5656. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $25,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects in this case.
