Six people were hospitalized following a two vehicle crash just after 9:00 Monday night at 72nd and Reddick.
The investigation revealed that a white 2009 Chevrolet Express Nebraska Humane Society van was traveling southbound on 72nd Street. As the van was in the midst of passing by Redick Avenue, it was struck nearly "headon" by a northbound maroon 2004 Buick Lesabre, whose driver attempted to turn left into the Sorensen Park Plaza Shopping Center.
All occupants of both involved vehicles were transported to Omaha area hospitals to be treated and/or evaluated for injuries sustained in the collision. A 10 month old female passenger of the Buick was administered life saving measures by Omaha Fire/Rescue while being transported to the hospital. Hayela Jeter is being treated for a closed head injury.
All of the other injuries were less serious. The crash remains under investigation
