Florists Prepare For Their Busiest Day Of The Year

Flowers are always a hot ticket item for Valentine's Day, and this year is no different.

Valentine's day is the busiest day of the year for florists, so we took a peek inside of Taylor's Flowers to see what it has been like for them as they prepare for the big day.

Owner Scott Taylor says he has beefed up his staff so they can make sure everyone can give their honey the perfect flower arrangement. "Getting the orders is one thing, actually making the bouquets is the most labor intensive. It's something that a robot can't do, it's not been taken over by technology. It's still hand made, hand designed and hand delivered."

Lots of customers popped in to the store, showing that not everyone prepares for the day in advance. Taylor says it usually ends up that way. "We start getting orders about a week in advance. But guys are known to be procrastinators, so they wait till the last minute."

No matter if you ordered the week or day before, Taylor says his team is ready to help make your Valentine's Day special. "Our normal day is about 35 to 50 deliveries. Where we'll do about 300 to 400 in one day. So it's a huge swelling of our staff."

He says they will have ten vans out delivering and a full staff in the store to make sure no one forgets flowers for their sweetheart.
