Creighton Dorm Placed On Temporary Lock Down

A Creighton University student is recovering Saturday after being cut by a another student.

Omaha Police say 18 year old Teresa Spagna was cut around 1:00 Saturday morning by fellow student, 19 year old Christopher Wheeler.

Authorities say Wheeler cut Spagna in Gallagher Hall, a dormitory on campus.

Spagna was able to give police a description of her attacker and officers moved in on him.

The dormitory was placed on lock down as police searched for the suspect.

Wheeler was found in the building, taken in for questioning and then booked for Felony Assault, Use of a Weapon (not a gun) to Commit a Felony and Obstructing an Officer.

Spagna was treated for non-life threatening injuries, and is expected to be okay.
