Driver Identified In Thursday Evening Crash

The Douglas County Sheriff's Department says a driver who ran a stop sign caused a rollover crash on Highway 275 and West Dodge Thursday evening.

Authorities say 33 year old Tiffany Camp was driving northbound on Highway 275 when 22 year old Alisa Schlegelmilch failed to stop at a stop sign on westbound Dodge Street.

The impact caused Camp's Volkswagen to roll once into a drainage ditch, landing right side up in two feet of water. They say there was a seven year old passenger in the backseat of Camp's vehicle who was restrained and suffered minor injuries.

Camp was taken in critical condition to Nebraska Medicine by medical helicopter. The other passengers involved were also taken to Nebraska Medicine for treatment of minor injuries.

The accident caused southbound Highway 275 and westbound Dodge to close for about three hours.

The investigation is ongoing.
