A family of five safely escaped after their house caught fire early Wednesday morning. It broke out near 67th and Franklin shortly after midnight.
The flames were quickly contained, but not before the fire caused about $10-thousand damage. Two adults and three children were inside when the fire broke out.
Investigators say the majority of the damage was in the kitchen and that the fire was accidental.
