KENTUCKY SCHOOL DISTRICT: STUDENTS ARE DRESSING AND ACTING LIKE CATS

The Meade County School District in Kentucky is dealing with a group of high school students that are attending school acting like and dressing as cats. Superintendent Mark Martin says the costumes violate school dress code, and that the situations have been addressed, but a grandparent of a student at the school says, “Apparently, from what I understand, they’re called ‘furries.’ They identify with animals. These people will hiss at you or scratch you if they don’t like something you’re doing.” She also says it’s something that’s been happening since last year.
