When asked at approx. the 1 hour 34 minute mark of this video for a Board of Education report, Norman Public School Board member Linda Sexton said "Not a report, but some comments."
She then spoke passionately about protecting children's health and suggested that parents who want their kids to go maskless in school should have their kids learn remotely.
"It's just not OK for kids to commit murder by coming to school without a mask," Sexton said. "They will cause the death of another child because they come to school without a mask."
She also condemned Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt, who says school districts in the state aren't allowed to pass mask mandates unless he declares a state of emergency for the area. Sexton hopes that the state's superintendents fight back against that restriction.
