The results from the City of Omaha primary election are in.
In the mayor's race, incumbent mayor Jean Stothert will face John Ewing Jr. in the general election on May 13th. Five candidates were vying for the mayor's seat, including former state legislator Mike McDonnell, Jasmine Harris, and Terry Brewer.
As of 8 a.m. Wednesday morning, Stothert received 37% of the vote, with Ewing not far behind her at 31%.
City Council races were also on the ballot for the primary. All incumbents on the council lead their races outside of District Two.
Former councilman Ben Gray sits in first for that race, with LaVonya Goodwin in second. Incumbent Juanita Johnson is in third.
