(Ralston, NE) -- A 19 year old is killed in an early morning crash near Ralston High School.
Omaha Police say just after 12:30 Tuesday morning, officers were called the area of 91st and Park Drive for a single-vehicle crash. Police say once on the scene, officers found a 2011 Mazda 6 that had hit a tree. OFD medics had to cut the driver from the car and then transported him to Bergan Mercy Medical Center in extremely critical condition. The driver, later identified as 19 year old Shane Foote, died at the hospital.
Investigators say speed and lack of seat belt use are considered factors. The investigation is ongoing.
