(Omaha, NE) -- A former Omaha Police officer pleads guilty to child pornography charges.
Earlier this week, 39 year old Christopher Groth pleaded guilty to production of child pornography in federal court. Court documents show Groth is also charged with possession and transportation of child pornography.. Groth had been an Omaha police officer for 15 years before being fired following his indictment in February of 2022. Prosecutors say between September and December 2020, Groth coerced a minor into engaging in sexual acts in order to record them.
Groth's sentencing is set for June.
