(Omaha, NE) -- A big mess Friday morning after a water main breaks near the Nebraska Medicine campus.
The break occurred at 42nd and Harney around 6:00 Friday morning, sending water rushing through parking garages and through the streets. Nebraska Medicine says they are working closely with M-U-D crews and that the only area affected on their campus today is the Clarkson Doctors Building South, which houses several outpatient clinics and offices. The building is expected to be closed for a day, and impacted patients will be contacted by their doctor's office.
Nebraska Med says hospital and procedural areas of the medical center continue to operate normally, including the Nebraska Medical Center Emergency Department. Road closures in the area of 42nd & Harney are possible.
