(Sarpy County, NE) -- Bail is set at $50,000 for a man charged in a fatal Sarpy County crash.
A Sarpy County Judge set the bond for 24-year-old Ulises Pantoja on Tuesday. If Pantoja posts bail, he will be put on house arrest and will have to undergo alcohol testing.
Pantoja is accused of being drunk when he hit 37 year old Candice McDowell's vehicle at the intersection of 144th and Harrison the night before Thanksgiving. Court documents show that he’s charged with motor vehicle homicide-DUI and DUI-cause of serious bodily injury.
Pantoja’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 21, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the Sarpy County Courthouse.
