WOWT 6 News Senior Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord forecasts highs in the upper '50's Wednesday afternoon before widespread showers and a few storms move through.
He says the best chance for a few storms is southeast of the Omaha/Council Bluffs Metro area.
The National Weather Service concurs, saying some hail is possible.
A cold front is expected early Wednesday evening causing the winds to pick up as they switch to the northwest.
Sunshine shows up Thursday, but colder temperatures are expected by the end of the week.
