(Saline County, NE) -- A three-judge panel sentences Bailey Boswell to life in prison. Boswell and Aubrey Trail were convicted last fall of strangling and dismembering 24-year-old Sydney Loofe in 2017.
Prosecutors had sought a death sentence for Boswell, which would have required all three judges' approval. One of the judges dissented, saying the case was not strong enough to warrant a death sentence.
Trail was sentenced to death in June.
