Council Bluffs woman killed in shooting, person of interest sought

(Council Bluffs, IA) -- A Council Bluffs woman is dead after being shot early Friday morning.

Council Bluffs Police says officers and EMS were called to a home near Washington and Hunter Avenue just before at 3:45 Friday morning for a reported shooting. Once on the scene, officers found 24 year old McKayla Glover with a single gunshot wound to her chest.

Police say Glover was taken to Nebraska Medicine where she was pronounced dead. At this time, no arrests have been made, but CBPD would like to locate and speak to a person of interest in the shooting. 28 year old Vaughn White is described as black male, 6’3”, 250 lbs. He currently has an active arrest warrant for Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Police say anyone with information on his whereabouts are asked to contact either 9-1-1 or Council Bluffs CrimeStoppers at 712-328-STOP (7867).

The shooting remains under investigation.
