Officers responded to a "ShotSpotter" technology alert of gunfire at 39th and Pratt Streets in the eight o'clock hour Monday evening.
Upon arrival, they found a male victim on the sidewalk.
Omaha Fire paramedics took the victim, identified as 18-year-old KorVanta Hill, to a hospital in extremely critical condition.
He was declared deceased at the hospital.
