The Omaha Fire Department reports a person who escaped a house fire early Tuesday morning did end up going to a hospital to be checked out.
They say it took firefighters ten minutes to bring the fire under control in the one story house at 45th and Franklin Street, near the Northwest Radial Highway.
Arriving firefighters reported heavy smoke, but the fire was quickly extinguished.
