In a Facebook post, the family of Jan Vala says she suffered a heart attack last week and passed away peacefully Friday evening.
She was a cofounder of the well known Sarpy County destination for generations of Metro Omaha area families, especially during the Autumn and Halloween time.
In lieu of flowers, the Vala family requests donations which will be sent to the Gretna Library Foundation.
