23-year-old Marine Cpl. Daegan Page made the ultimate sacrifice last week serving his country in Afghanistan.
Thursday night, more than 35 veterans were on the field at Millard South's Buell Stadium before the football game against Elkhorn South to honor Cpl. Page and all the uniformed military who have been lost in the service of our country.
Page graduated from Millard South High School in 2016, and enlisted in the Corps.
There was a color guard from the Millard American Legion Post 374, a reading of the names of those who died last week in Kabul, and a moment of silence.
