WOWT 6 News' Chief Meteorologist Rusty Lord says storm chances will gradually increase in the area midday Monday starting at 20% and slowly increasing from afternoon into the evening and overnight.
He says the later we go, the greater the threat for stronger storms and gusty winds.
The storms could bring heavy rain with some widespread 1-4″ rain totals likely.
Isolated 6″ totals are possible in the area as well if several rounds of storms move through and saturate the same locations.
